cost what it costs?
Because the work is different. Every service Pristine offers is backed by formal, in-person certification from Rightlook.com — one of the most respected automotive reconditioning institutions in the industry. Seven certifications earned across six years. R1 Approved Applicator status. Products sourced at professional grade.
What you're paying for is the training, the materials, the process, and the accountability behind it. An untrained hand with consumer-grade product is not the same thing — and the results reflect that over time.
No. Pricing at Pristine reflects the standard of work — the products used, the preparation required, and the time it takes to do the job correctly. That standard does not change based on budget pressure.
What we do offer is bundled packages that deliver more value from a single appointment. If you're considering multiple services, that's the right conversation to have.
Yes — and for most vehicles, a combination approach makes more sense than any single service alone. Coating protects the paint. Tint protects the interior. PPF protects the high-impact surfaces. Together, they address the full picture.
If you're unsure which combination suits your vehicle and situation, message us before booking. We'll give you an honest recommendation, not an upsell.
actually works.
A ceramic coating bonds chemically to your vehicle's clear coat, forming a hard, hydrophobic layer that repels water, resists UV degradation, blocks environmental contaminants, and makes the surface significantly easier to clean.
Unlike a wax — which sits on top of the paint and wears off in weeks — a professionally applied coating bonds at a molecular level and lasts years, not months. In the BVI climate specifically, where UV intensity and salt air are constant, that difference is substantial.
It depends on the condition of the paint. A ceramic coating seals whatever is underneath it — including existing defects. If your paint has swirl marks, fine scratches, or oxidation, applying a coating over them locks those imperfections in permanently.
We assess paint condition before every coating service. If correction is needed, we'll tell you — and explain why, not just add it to the invoice.
Pristine offers coating options rated from 3 to 7 years, depending on the product tier selected. Longevity in the BVI environment is also influenced by how the vehicle is maintained afterward.
We offer a structured maintenance programme — including Revive+ every 3–4 months and a Yearly Refresh — designed specifically to preserve coating performance over time. A maintained coating performs significantly better than one that's left without attention.
No — and any provider who tells you otherwise is being misleading. A ceramic coating offers chemical protection, UV resistance, and hydrophobic performance. It is not a physical barrier against impact.
If physical protection from rock chips and road debris is the priority — particularly on the front of the vehicle — Paint Protection Film (PPF) is the correct product for that job. The two services complement each other and are often applied together.
physical shield.
PPF is a physical film. It is a thick, transparent urethane layer that absorbs rock chips, road debris, and surface impact before they reach the paint. Many films are also self-healing — minor surface scratches close under heat.
Ceramic coating is a chemical layer. It bonds to the paint and provides UV protection, chemical resistance, hydrophobic performance, and gloss enhancement — but cannot absorb physical impact.
The most comprehensive protection uses both: PPF on high-impact areas, coating over the top of the film and across the rest of the vehicle.
PPF is available in partial and full front coverage options. The most common starting point is Full Front — hood, fenders, bumper, mirrors, and headlights — covering the areas most exposed to road impact.
Full vehicle PPF is also available for those wanting comprehensive protection across every panel. We'll recommend the right coverage based on how and where the vehicle is driven.
When installed correctly, PPF is effectively invisible. You will not see edges, bubbles, or lifting. The film is optically clear and preserves the original finish of the paint beneath it.
Improper installation — rushed edges, trapped contamination, poor panel alignment — is what makes PPF visible. This is why certified installation matters. PPF is one of the most technically demanding services in this industry. There is no shortcut that produces a clean result.
Low-quality film can yellow, crack, or delaminate — particularly in a high-UV environment like the BVI. This is almost always a product quality issue, not an installation issue, and it's why the film brand matters as much as the installer.
Professional-grade PPF is engineered for long-term UV stability and flexibility. It is designed to hold its clarity and adhesion over the rated lifespan of the film — which is why we do not cut corners on the product itself.
If PPF is already showing yellowing or cracking on your vehicle, that film needs to be removed and replaced with a quality product. Message us to discuss.
UV, and privacy.
Pristine uses Solar Gard — a globally recognised manufacturer of professional-grade window films with a strong track record in high-heat, high-UV environments. We work with two Solar Gard series: Endeavor (advanced carbon film) and XenithIR (nano-ceramic technology).
We do not use off-brand or unverified films. The product you receive is one that has been selected specifically for performance in the BVI climate.
Endeavor uses advanced carbon film technology — high performance at an accessible price point. It delivers solid heat rejection and UV protection for everyday use.
XenithIR uses nano-ceramic technology, offering superior infrared rejection, exceptional optical clarity, and zero signal interference with phones, GPS, or keyless entry. If your vehicle spends significant time in direct BVI heat, XenithIR is the upgrade worth considering. The performance difference is noticeable from the first drive.
For side and rear windows, Pristine offers two VLT (visible light transmission) options: 35% and 22%. We'll advise you on which shade suits your vehicle and your privacy preference during the booking process.
For the windshield, we apply film at 80% VLT — this is a light, nearly clear application that still provides meaningful UV and infrared rejection without affecting forward visibility or driving safety. Most clients don't realise it's there, but they feel the difference in heat and glare.
Yes — but only with the wrong film. Cheap dye-based films are notorious for turning purple or brown over time, particularly when exposed to the level of UV the BVI receives year-round. This is not a normal outcome with professional-grade film — it's a product failure.
Both Solar Gard series Pristine uses are non-dye based. Endeavor uses carbon technology; XenithIR uses ceramic technology. Neither relies on dye to achieve its colour or performance, which means neither is susceptible to the fading or discolouration you see with lower-quality products.
If your current tint has already turned colour, that film needs to come off. Installing quality film over degraded film is not a solution.
Not when installed correctly using professional-grade film. Bubbling and peeling are the result of two things: low-quality film, or poor installation technique. Pristine uses neither.
If you've experienced failed tint in the past, it was almost certainly one or both of those issues. The fix is not cheaper film — it's better film, installed properly, the first time.
what it is and isn't.
The word "detail" means very different things depending on who's using it. At a car wash or general detailer, a detail typically means a thorough clean — inside and out. The goal is presentation. The vehicle looks good when it leaves. That's it.
At Pristine, detailing is performed by someone who is also trained and certified in ceramic coatings, PPF, and paint correction. That changes how the work is done fundamentally. Every detailing service is carried out with surface science in mind — the products selected, the techniques applied, and the attention given to the paint are all informed by a deeper understanding of what's actually happening to the surface.
In practice, this means three things:
We don't use products that damage what they're supposed to clean. Many standard detailers use all-purpose products that are too harsh for paint, leave residue behind, or degrade any existing protection. We don't.
We look at the paint, not just the dirt. A car wash removes surface contamination. We assess what's underneath — oxidation, swirl marks, early coating failure — and flag it. You leave knowing the actual condition of your vehicle, not just how it looks on the surface.
We prepare surfaces, not just clean them. For vehicles moving toward a coating or correction service, every detail we perform is done in a way that doesn't create additional work later. No silicone-based dressings that interfere with coating adhesion. No shortcuts that have to be undone before protection can be applied.
Pristine offers three detailing services, each built for a specific vehicle type and purpose:
Matte Surface Detail ($215) — Specialist care designed exclusively for matte finishes. Exterior wash, wheel cleaning, and interior refresh using products and techniques that preserve the matte texture. No polishing, no gloss products.
Premium Detail ($260) — A thorough interior and exterior appearance reset for standard gloss finishes. Removes the buildup of daily driving — salt film, dust, surface grime, interior buildup. Recommended every 4–6 months.
Pristine Detail ($485) — The most comprehensive option. Full reconditioning including paint decontamination, machine polish, interior deep clean, leather conditioning, and UV protection throughout. Ideal for annual care, vehicles that have gone extended periods without intensive attention, or preparation before a protective coating.
No — and this distinction matters. Detailing is an appearance service. It improves how your vehicle looks on a given day by removing contamination, restoring gloss, and refreshing the interior. It does not provide lasting surface protection.
A ceramic coating or PPF is a protection service. It creates a durable barrier that actively slows degradation from UV, salt air, and environmental contamination over a period of years.
Vehicles that rely on frequent detailing to maintain appearance typically benefit more from investing in a protective coating — which reduces the rate of degradation and lowers long-term maintenance costs significantly.
Yes — and for vehicles that are not already in coating-ready condition, the Pristine Detail is often the logical starting point. It brings the paint to the standard required for a successful coating application.
That said, prep work is always included in the coating service itself. If you're moving toward a coating, message us first. We'll assess whether a separate detailing appointment beforehand makes sense for your vehicle, or whether the coating prep covers what's needed.
No. Matte finishes require a completely different set of products and techniques. Standard gloss-enhancing polishes, waxes, or compounds will alter the surface texture of a matte finish — in some cases permanently.
The Matte Surface Detail exists specifically for this reason. Every product used is appropriate for matte paint, and no polishing or gloss-based treatment is applied. If your vehicle has a matte finish, it should only ever be cared for by someone who understands that distinction.
gets done.
Neither exactly. Pristine operates primarily from a private garage — a controlled environment that allows for the level of preparation, precision, and cleanliness that professional coating, PPF, and tint installation demand. Most services are carried out there.
For certain services and circumstances, we can come to you. If your situation requires that, message us directly and we'll confirm what's possible.
It depends on the service and the vehicle's condition. As a general guide:
Window tinting: 2–4 hours, depending on the number of windows and vehicle type.
Ceramic coating: 4–8 hours minimum. If paint correction is required first, this extends to a multi-day process.
PPF: Varies significantly by coverage — partial front may be completed in a day; full vehicle PPF typically requires multiple days.
Detailing: 2–5 hours depending on the service level and vehicle condition.
We do not rush services to fit a schedule. The work takes the time it takes to do correctly. A clear estimate is always provided before you confirm.
Adrian McCoy. Founder of Pristine, and the person behind every certification. This is not an operation where a certified owner supervises uncertified staff. The person who holds the qualifications is the person who performs the work — every time.
When you book with Pristine, you get exactly what the certification represents.
Aftercare guidance is provided with every service. The short version: avoid washing for the first few days after a coating application, use pH-neutral products, and avoid harsh chemicals that break down protective layers.
For ongoing protection, Pristine offers a structured maintenance programme — Maintenance+ for routine upkeep, Revive+ every 3–4 months to reset coating performance, and a Yearly Refresh for long-term longevity. A properly maintained coating performs significantly better over its rated lifespan than one that isn't.
We work across cars, SUVs, and trucks. Some services — particularly full-vehicle PPF and colour change wraps — vary in scope and pricing based on vehicle size and complexity.
If you have a specialty vehicle or something outside the standard range, message us before booking and we'll confirm whether and how we can accommodate it.
get started.
You can book directly via our online booking page, or message us on WhatsApp if you'd like to discuss your vehicle first.
For larger services — coatings, PPF, or combination packages — a conversation before booking is always worthwhile. It lets us confirm the right approach for your vehicle and give you an accurate time and cost estimate upfront.
Availability varies. Because every job is performed personally, Pristine operates a limited schedule to maintain quality across every service. Book as early as possible, particularly for larger or multi-day services.
Same-week availability is sometimes possible for tinting and detailing. Coatings and PPF typically require more lead time. Check the booking page for current availability, or message us directly.
Yes — and we'd rather you ask than guess. Message us on WhatsApp with your vehicle details, its current condition, and what you're trying to achieve. We'll give you a straight recommendation.
There's no obligation attached to that conversation. The goal is to make sure the service you book is the right one for your situation — not just the most expensive option on the list.
matters here.
Yes — measurably. The combination of high UV intensity, airborne salt, mineral-rich rainfall, and sustained tropical heat accelerates paint oxidation, fading, and clear coat breakdown at a rate significantly faster than temperate climates.
Vehicles left unprotected in the BVI age visibly within a few years. Paint that holds up for a decade elsewhere may begin to degrade here within three to four. Protection applied early is dramatically cheaper than correction applied later.
You still drive it. The roads here — salt air, coastal road debris, mineral deposits from rainfall — affect the vehicle during every journey, not just when parked in the open. Protection matters most in use, not in storage.
Garage parking does reduce UV exposure, which is a genuine advantage. But it doesn't eliminate the case for coating or PPF — it adjusts how you prioritise between them.
Yes. Product selection, preparation process, and maintenance recommendations are all informed by this specific environment — not copied from a mainland template and applied without adjustment.
Six years of operating in this climate, combined with formal training that covered product chemistry and surface science, means the recommendations Pristine makes are grounded in what actually performs here — not just what looks good on a spec sheet.
